ARTHUR ET LES MINIMOYS AT FUTUROSCOPE…
French filmmaker Luc Besson has selected Futuroscope as the venue for a new attraction, set to open in December 2009, inspired by his latest release, Arthur et la Vengeance de Maltazard, the second instalment in the trilogy.
The highlight of the attraction is a 4-minute film, shown in 3D and only at Futuroscope under a giant IMAX dome, synchronised with the vibrations of motion simulators enhanced with 4D effects for an exhilarating experience.
Faithful to the spirit of the original feature-length film – a wondrous universe inhabited by magical creatures who live in perfect harmony with their environment – the attraction will allow viewers to slip into the skin of a Minimoy to experience an adventure very similar to the one faced by Arthur in the second chapter of this saga of three episodes.
After wending their way along a sylvan path leading to the attraction entrance, visitors will climb into a motion-controlled seat. Wearing wrap-around polarising glasses, they will experience the full measure of the sensations that await them once they plunge into the world of the Minimoys.
This new attraction features:
In sum, a fun-packed and breathtaking exploration of this unique universe through a Minimoy's eyes, certain to enchant all spectators!
By welcoming this attraction featuring never-before-seen technology, Futuroscope, the second most visited theme park in France, reaffirms its determination to build upon its successes by enlisting the talents of leading lights of the film and media scene for the greater pleasure of its visitors. For his part, Luc Besson offers his many fans – 6.5 million spectators for Arthur et les Minimoys – the opportunity to extend the excitement, action and adventure of this special world beyond the movie.
